First Ultrasound

Today was my first ultrasound. I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't know for sure what I was going to see, or feel when I saw it. I can't even begin to explain the feeling I had when I saw the baby pop on the screen. Speechless. I swear my heart stopped. I literally could not bring myself to find any words. I was so amazed that there was life inside me. I am so happy and grateful that God has answered our prayers. The ultrasound tech said that the baby was healthy and right on track. The first measurement was 6 weeks 1 day. I am actually 6 weeks 3 days today, but she said it's normal to be off a bit and she kept my due date the same, June 4th. The heart rate was 102bpm. She said that was healthy. :) I got to see the heart flicker on the screen!! I didn't get to hear the heartbeat though. I hope I can at my appointment on Thursday. I see my high risk doctor and have another ultrasound.
